On 19-21 November, in the framework of the project Community Action to Prevent Trafficking of Vulnerable Youth in Bulgaria – YOUTHACT, members of the WAD and Risk Monitor foundations took part in a discussion with experts from Silistra. At the meeting we presented the report on the strategic documents, instruments, policies and practices concerning the traffic prevention of youth people in Silistra. The possible measures to prevent the youth trafficking in the region were a key point of the discussion. We raised different questions, such as the improvement of the coordination of the institutions engaged, the organization of more effective informational campaigns, the encouragement of the participation of young people in the activities to prevent human trafficking.

Our team met with young people from the Home for Children Deprived from Parental Care “Dimcho Debelyanov” and students from the professional high school “Atanas Burov”. We discussed the potential risks, the necessary measures and the possible solutions to the problem.
