Find your talents, work your skills
The first training course in frames of Strategic Partnerships "Find Your Talent, Work on your Skills" that took place in Ghent, Belgium in December 2019. It was the first of four meetings within a strategic partnership KA2 project between Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland and Romania, and it was hosted by iDrops organisation. During the project we participated in regular class-room training, an interesting study visit in Oostende to meet representatives of local NGOs and to learn of their diverse activities, did some group work and project planning. This all was to get to know better a Human-Centered Design, which becomes more and more popular in all types of organisations and is a very useful, creativity-sparking and really human and need-oriented methodology. Definitely dig more on the topic at the original source, will be useful to many
Safety on the Road
In the middle of March (12-21) in Cyprus, nearby Ayia Napa, took place a project about safety on the roads, called ‘Safety on the Road’, organised by NECI Cyprus. The main goal of this exchange was to visualize the problem from different perspectives, for example habits, rules characteristic for each nationality. Even though, from day to day, fewer and fewer participants were in the project due to the pandemia, which caused panic in almost every country from which the participants come, it needs to be admitted that even presence for two days of workshops polish group implies a lot.
For example, when we drive a car or cross the street, we usually assume that we are safe. In many cases it’s a reasonable assumption, because it’s probable we are safe if we follow the rules, however it sometimes happens that this feeling of being safe is apparent-just a second of incautious can lead to the catastrophe. Pandemia which has taken over the world is a perfect example. Although, it refers to another meaning of safety, the scheme is similar - careless behaviour and ignoring warnings is enough to cause a disaster.
Hosts of the project were extremely patient, supporting and full of positivity. Also, the participants showed willingness to work. We are really sorry that there wasn’t a possibility to stay any longer. Considering the situation in the world such as closing borders, it would be irresponsible not to come back. Only hope remains that we will be able to take part in the next Renos’ projects.
